Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge: TGX-01

The Starr Instruments TGX-01 is a Portable Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge used to determine the thicknesses of metal, plastic and many other common materials. Unlike traditional methods that might require cutting or damaging the material to measure its thickness, the TGX-01 utilizes advanced ultrasonic pulse-echo technology, making it a non-destructive and non-intrusive measurement tool.

The TGX-01 has the capability to measure the thickness of solid composition materials that have a regular grain structure, of which an ultrasonic signal can be transmitted through. 

Some testable materials include:

- Metals (steels, aluminium, copper, cast iron and more)

- Plastics (HDPE, LDPE, PVC)

- Glass

- Rubbers (most types)

* Please note that this tester is NOT suitable for testing epoxy water-proofing membrane thickness.
