BRM-150 manual optical Brix Refractometer is perfect for quickly determining the sugar level (Brix) or TDS % in an aqueous solution.

It can be used to determine fruit ripeness in the field or at market as sugar content increases with ripeness. It can also be used for monitoring concentration levels of juices, condiments and industrial fluids such as cutting lubricants, soluble tempering oils, emulsifications and washing detergent powders.

To use, pipette 2-3 drops of the sample onto the palate and close the cover flap. Hold the refractometer towards a light source and look through the eye piece. The Brix % will be indicated by a defined line on the scale.
