Hardness Reference Calibration Test Block - LEEB type

A portable hardness tester measures in the rebound scale of Leeb and then converts into common test scales.  

Since our Portable Hardness Testers can be user calibrated, they need a reference test block with a known hardness value to be correctly adjusted.

Leeb calibration reference blocks are specific with a machined and highy polished surface.  They are also about 3kg and are 55mm thick. This ensures that there is no impact energy absorbed by the test piece and an accurate result is achieved, based on an average of 5 tests.

Not only are they used for calibration, but also referencing when unexpected results are obtained.  Is it the tester or the material? A simple reference test can answer that question.

Depending on the type of indenter used, the Test Block will need to be issued with an adjustment value.  We supply our test blocks with the correct scales for the tester used.
