The DD-100 are designed for users who need to measure the Shore hardness of resins, rubbers and plastics.   \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDurometers are commonly used to ensure consistency of a product in quality control and also so that it meets required specifications in production or when checking parts received from suppliers.  Items tested include, tyres, shoe soles, cheeses, plastic chairs, skateboard wheels, Perspex etc.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eA durometer works by measuring the resistance to an indentation. That indentation is made with a specific size \u0026amp; shape indenter and spring load force, based on the applicable Shore scale.  Our DD-100 range is available in Shore A \u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eor\u003c\/span\u003e Shore D scales.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eFor soft to medium hard plastics and rubber elastomers, Shore A is used.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eShore D is used on harder plastics.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eUsage is simple; just press the durometer against the test sample and the needle will show the hardness value. The max. result is retained by the secondary \"lazy arm\" peak pointer for recording purposes.
